Mrs. Ida B Reaves was called home on July 19, 2019 in Indianapolis, In she was 82 and passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving husband.
Mrs. Reaves was born on March 31, 1937 in Indianapolis, In to her parents, Kenneth and Mary Miller. Mrs. Reaves graduated from Crispus Attucks High School and then married Joseph Reaves Sr. on January 6,1973. Mrs. Reaves worked at CVS Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician for over 30 years and retired in March 2007. She was the first lady of Zion Baptist Church. She dedicated her remaining time to educating the world about the lord, as well as leading prayer circles at her church.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who loved to entertain. A unique soul, Ida was very funny, and her southern hospitality was to die for. She enjoyed spending time with your family and cooking, but she was a pistol as her daughter would say. She enjoyed watching Walker Texas Ranger, Scorpion and 007.Ida was loved by everyone that she met.
Mrs. Reaves is survived by her husband Joseph Reaves Sr; brother Virgil Miller; daughter Sandra Hudson; sons Charles Hudson, Gregory Miller, and Darryl Miller; four step-children Joseph Jr., Kevin, Paul, and Eric Reaves; and four grandchildren Dion Miller, Nicole Hudson, Dominique Miller, and T’Asia Jakes. She has a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews,and friends that she was loved by.
She is preceded in death by her parents Kenneth Sr and Mary Miller; sisters Ruth Adams and Myrtle Adams; brother Kenneth Miller Jr; and one stepdaughter MaryAnne Reaves.
She will be greatly missed
